We are thrilled to announce that the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland will present Peace Proms 2024 in Limerick, Dublin, Belfast and Waterford.
Tickets go on pre-sale for parents of choir and orchestra members at 10am on November 1st, and on general sale at 10am on November 8th.
35,000 children from all over Ireland and Northern Ireland who make up the Children’s Peace Choirs, will perform alongside the 130-member internationally acclaimed Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, in what promises to be an uplifting and inspirational celebration of youth, music, and talent on an epic scale. Peace Proms concerts are electric! and highly recommended for all the family – young and old. The choirs will lift-the-roof with powerful peace anthems and lots of family favourites including Pop Medleys.
With everything from majestic Bagpipe melodies to rocking violin and vocal solos, the musical programme is certainly all thriller no filler! Prepare to be blown away by power-house vocalist Lauren Murphy; all-Ireland Champion Uilleann Piper Conal Duffy; world champion Piper Grahame Harris from Belfast; the multi-award winning Colmcille Pipe and Drum Corps from Derry/Londonderry; champion Highland and Irish dancers from the Michelle Johnston school of dance in Belfast and Dance Hall Academy in Swords.
Peace Proms 2024 will be conducted by internationally acclaimed UK music educator Greg Beardsell who is renowned for his extraordinary ability to lead powerful and exhilarating performances and is one of the most outstanding and inspirational conductors of his generation.
