About the concert

1. What is Peace Proms?
Peace Proms is a spectacular concert performed by the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, featuring choirs made up of thousands of amazing school-children from across the island of Ireland; together with outstanding soloists, pipers, drummers, and dancers. The concerts celebrate music, unity, and peace, and are suitable for all ages.

2. How long does the concert last?
Each concert lasts approximately two hours and 20 mins, including a short interval.

3. What time should I arrive?
Doors open for audience members one hour before the concert starts. We recommend arriving early to allow time for parking.

**Note: Choir members must be in attendance at the concert venue 2 hrs and 30 mins before the concert start time.

5. How do I receive my tickets?
Tickets are emailed directly by the ticketing platform (TicketTailor or Ticketmaster). Please ensure your email address is correct when purchasing.

6. Can I get a refund if I can long longer attend?

Refunds will not be issued unless a performance is cancelled. Refunds are not available under any other circumstances. Tickets may be exchanged at the discretion of the Box Office Manager – peaceproms.boxoffice@gmail.com. The CBOI cannot accept liability for unused tickets due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather conditions or travel disruption.

8. Do children need a ticket?
Children aged 2 and under who can sit on an adult’s lap do not require a ticket. All other attendees must have their own ticket.

**Note: Children who are members of the choir do not need tickets. They will be seated with their school in the choir risers behind the orchestra.

9. Can I choose my seats?
Seating in Dublin, Waterford and Limerick is unallocated. Seating in Belfast is allocated at the time of ticket-purchase. You can view available sections and seats in the SSE Arena, Belfast when booking.

10. Can I sit near my child’s school?
Each school choir is seated in a designated block. If you are attending concerts in Dublin, Waterford or Limerick, you will  receive an email from the event organisers days before the concert, letting you know which block your child is seated in so you can sit opposite.

If you are attending concerts in Belfast, you can check which block your child’s school is seated in at the time of purchasing your ticket on the Ticketmaster website.

Accessibility

11. I have accessibility requirements – what should I do?

On the day of the concert:

  • Arrive around 1 hour before the start time.
  • Do not queue.
  • Go directly to the PRIORITY entrance, where our team will meet you, scan your tickets, and guide you to your seats.
    All accessible seating areas are on the flat (no steps).

At the venue

12. Is there parking available?
Yes. Parking details vary by venue — please check the venue’s website for information on parking facilities, fees, and accessibility.

13. Can I bring food or drinks?
Food and drinks purchased outside the venue are generally not permitted. Most arenas have cafés and concession stands open before the concert and during the interval.

14. Are latecomers admitted?
Yes – within the first 15 minutes of the concert start time. Tickets not presented 15 minutes after the concert start time may be considered “no shows” and may be resold.

15. Is Peace Proms suitable for children?
Absolutely! Peace Proms is a joyful, family-friendly concert suitable for all ages.

16. What should I wear?
There’s no formal audience dress code – smart casual attire is perfect.

**Note: The children in the choir should wear plain white t-shirt/shirt/blouse (no logos); dark bottoms (uniform bottoms are fine – skirt and tights or trousers); and dark soft shoes e.g. runners or pumps

17. Will there be merchandise available?
Yes, Peace Proms merchandise including concert programmes and teddies may be available for purchase in the foyer before and after the concert.
