It was a pleasure and a privilege to be part of this year’s Summer Garden Party at Glencairn House, the residence of the British Ambassador to Ireland. This special celebration marked the Queen’s 90th birthday, and the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. The Cross Border Orchestra Ensemble served as a reminder of the great reconciliation work that has gone on over the last 20-25 years, in the year which marks many important anniversaries for the UK and Ireland.
The CBOI was ably represented yesterday evening by our chamber group who performed for over 1400 invited guests. We would like to thank Mr. Neil Holland, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy for extending this invitation to us. We were thrilled to be part of this wonderful occasion.
