Ireland’s acclaimed Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI) is once again set to take audiences on an extraordinary musical journey with Peace Proms 2026 — a thrilling series of 18 concerts that will begin at the SETU Arena, Waterford on January 24th. The tour will also visit Dublin, Belfast and Limerick, showcasing the incredible energy, talent, and unity that have defined the CBOI since its founding in 1995.
For over 30 years, the CBOI has been a driving force in music education and peace-building, promoting understanding, tolerance, and friendship across communities throughout the island of Ireland and beyond. Peace Proms 2026 stands as a vibrant celebration of this enduring mission.
This year’s Peace Proms will bring together 35,000 children from every corner of Ireland and Northern Ireland, performing as part of the Children’s Peace Choirs. They will join the 100-member Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland, under the direction of the dynamic Greg Beardsell and led by Dundalk-born violinist Richie Dunne.
