Peace Proms is a free choral education and performance programme for primary school children across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Peace Proms is FREE music education resource which brings the magic of music to almost 35,000 children in 700 primary schools across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Peace Proms is more than just a music program – it promotes ‘peace through music’ and empowers young minds to make a positive impact on the world around them. The highlight of the program is our spectacular large-scale concerts which feature up to 3,000 choir members and our full symphony youth orchestra. Concerts will take place in iconic arena venues throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland in January, February and March.

Whether your school choir is already established or just starting out, Peace Proms is tailor-made for children aged 8-12 years. We ensure that the musical programme is engaging, educational, and above all, fun! The end result is nothing short of awe-inspiring – an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, from the choir members and their teachers to parents and audiences alike.

Presented by the renowned Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland (CBOI), Peace Proms brings together children from all over Ireland and Northern Ireland to sing for peace and a better world while spreading joy, hope, and positivity to all.

What’s Involved?

1) IN-SCHOOL LEARNING: With their teachers, children learn up to eight songs or medleys in different genres. Schools are provided with downloadable choir packs and rehearsal tracks.

2) REGIONAL WORKSHOPS: Each school participates in ONE regional workshop which will take place in November during school hours. The workshop is conducted by internationally-renowned Greg Beardsell. Workshops are held in UL Sports Arena, Limerick; SETU Sports Arena, Waterford; Sport Ireland, Dublin; the SSE Arena, Belfast.

3) PEACE PROMS CONCERT: All schools perform with the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland and a host of top soloists in ONE concert which will take place in the Spring. Concerts are held in UL Sports Arena, Limerick; SETU Sports Arena, Waterford; the Simmonscourt Arena, RDS, Dublin; the SSE Arena, Belfast.

What Age Group Is Peace Proms For Peace Proms is recommended for the following age groups.
a) Republic of Ireland Schools – 3rd class and upwards.
b) Northern Ireland Schools – P4 and upwards.
